Laëtitia discovered the “Small House Movement” at random. This new type of habitat resounded as evidence. She left the capital to realize her dream of self-construction in her hometown: Nantes. After several months of design / manufacture and thanks to the support of its close relations, the tiny house gradually ascended on a family ground and the construction site ends in the summer of 2015. She organized then weekends “My East Gate Open “to share his experience with future auto-builders. Industrial designer training, specialized product and space, Laetitia, sees the tiny house a field of experimentation and tremendous creativity, halfway between design objects and architecture. She founded the company Baluchon in 2016 by associating with Charles and Vincent, in order to continue in team, the adventure Tiny. Laëtitia mainly deals with the design of the architecture and the layout of tiny houses, according to the needs of the future inhabitants of course!
Vincent had a very young desire to travel and to discover new ways of living, and especially to live. He traveled many countries around the world and took part in several participatory projects. This globe trotteur also wanted to discover healthy ways to make a home. He studied eco-construction in Paris in order to obtain a very good knowledge of the materials, their environmental footprint and their properties. He then also wanted to live in a responsible way and embarked on the self-construction of his tiny house. Vincent met Laëtitia at the first open door of Baluchon, when he himself started his tiny house. Thanks to their common values, the feeling quickly passed, which led them to form a collaboration to share their know-how. He loves our planet and its inhabitants, and thanks to the Baluchon project, he now wants to offer houses that reconcile the two. Eco-construction is therefore at the heart of his concerns and he intends to demonstrate that it is possible to live differently. Vincent realizes the technical plans of the tiny houses and actively participates in their implementation in the workshop. He is also the photographer of the team!
