Over the past four years Lina has explored living little in a travel trailer, a yurt, a backyard cottage, and three tiny houses on wheels. She now lives in a 100 square foot gypsy wagon she designed and built called The Lucky Penny. Her little house is situated in a fabulous tiny cohousing community called Simply Home Community. These days Lina does small house design and consultation through her company Niche Consulting LLC and blogs as This Is the Little Life, and provides education, empowerment, and inspiration through workshops.
Lina has been interviewed by reporters from think tanks like Sightline, by journalism students from OR Magazine, by a Japanese team making a documentary, and more recently for the movie Small is Beautiful. She has also been featured by Grist, Life Edited, Tree Hugger, Fair Companies, Tiny House Giant Journey, Unlikely Lives, Vermont Public Radio, and the clowns at Portlandia.
